This Weekend, FFA Cup Q1

A few days back I announced on the Facebook page that for the first qualification round of the FFA Cup I will head to Gardiners Park in Glen Iris with its new synthetic pitch for the match between Old Melburnians from the FV State League 5 East and Tatura SC who finished 4th last year in the Bendigo Amateur Soccer  League. One of the great reasons I love of the FFA Cup is because of such fixtures with Tatura required to travail almost 200km for the match. A lot of these early round matches we see clubs playing youngsters with clubs still running around getting players to sign up.

Depending on how the match goes and weather etc I am also looking at another match from Knox Regional where where one of the lowest ranked teams in the FV structures Central Park Rangers takes on FV State League 5 East club Mount Waverely City. Not too much info can be found on Central Park Rangers but they did participate in the FV Metro Leagues 2 South East and finished forth out of six teams and the name comes from the home venue Central Park in Parhran.

Now to make sure I charge up all the batteries, free up hard drive space (bit of a gamer on my PC) and check to make sure my tripod is going to handle the weekend.
