Powelltown Football Ground
Powelltown Football Ground is an Australian Football venue in the small logging town of Powelltown in Victoria between Walburton and Noojee. Home to AFL Outer East Division 2 league club Powelltown Football Netball Club. These drone images were done in December 2020.
Dorothy Laver Reserve West
Tricky one to get to if you use google maps as it will direct you to the wrong Dorothy Laver reserve (that one is across the river) as it has been misspelt as "Dorothy Laver Riserve West". Anyhow this venue is used by Ashburton United Soccer Club as one of their venues. It has space for two full-size pitch that is directly above the large power lines. The pavilion is simple with limited undercover area and on this occasion no canteen was open. Parking is used also by the tennis club and also by the many that visit the parkland area.
Lang Lang Showgrounds
Lang Lang Showgrounds for a long period of time was home to the Australian rules club Lang Lang Football Club until they moved to a brand new facility at Lang Lang Community Reserve. Now it's home during winter to one of the newest clubs in the South Gippsland Soccer League and that is known as Lang Lang United. The soccer club does not play on the main oval, which seems to be used for rodeo's now but used the area behind the main pavilion that has room for two very narrow pitches. Plenty of parking is available on site. Change rooms are in the old pavilion and the canteen is provided in a portable at the entry end of the pitches.
No drone images on this occasion but will have to make another visit one day.

Korumburra Recreational Reserve
Soccer/Football has only been introduced to Korumburra recently with this city and surrounding region mostly having ovals that are part of the culture of Aussie Rules Football and Cricket. This venue is a bit of a gem. With undercover seating, a large function room and a changerooms extension this venue is a great set-up for the home club Korumburra City. The tricky part of soccer in this area is that they need to shorten the width of the pitch drastically but that seems to add to the action as was the case when I visited. Parking spots are limited around the clubrooms but like most ovals, people can park around the fence line and watch from the car.

Highfield Park
Situated in the suburb of Camberwell, Victoria is this double oval reserve called Highfield Park. During the winter months, it is home to two Victorian Churches Football Association clubs St Hilary's FC and Donvale Cannons.
When I visited for the match involving St Hilary's in 2021 the MPL2 men's was using the lower pitch and the women's team using the above north end pitch. Parking is aviling onsite and also on the surrounding streets. It has a small size pavilion with the canteen closed on this occasion.
HV Jones Reserve - 2021
These images are from 2021, also on the website is ground-level images from 2019 which you can find here.
HV Jones Reserve is a sporting reserve in Ferntree Gully that is home to Boronia Soccer Club and during the alternate period Mountain Gate Cricket Club. The field was recently upgraded which was a big improvement from how it was in the past. Lights have also now been installed and Boronia Soccer Club played a few twilight games in 2019. Parking is not too difficult as you can park on the street if parking bays for the reserve are full. The pavilion has also been improved on and expanded over the years.

Dixon Field
Dixon Field is located in Gisborne, the largest Macedon Ranges Shire town just over 50 km away from Melbourne, Victoria. The main pitch has an athletics track between it and the main pavilions. What is good is that there is an undercover area in front of the pavilion. On the day I visited there were junior league matches held on the smaller pitches with let's say not the best parking available.
The home club is FV State League club Gisborne Soccer Club and in 2021 participated in the FV Men State League 4 West.
Milpera Reserve
Just off the East Link Freeway in Wantirna is Milpera Reserve, home of Victorian Churches Football Association club Waverley City. The venue recently had floodlights installed with coverage from all four corners. Inside the oval is room for at least one full-size pitch that is now situated to the east side of the oval.
The home club Waverley City was formerly known as City Life FC and was doing very well in both the VCFA Women's League and the VCFA MPL 1 before the season was shut down due to COVID. The club also uses Knox Regional and also Monash University Clayton Campas.
Address: 90 Milpera Cres, Wantirna VIC 3152
