The venue fields had been upgraded a few years back but the pavilion has basically been the same for quite some time. The area has one full size pitch and a junior pitch. The home club for 2019 was Mazenod Victory, a merged club identity with the previous home club Waverley Victory and before all that Clayton Soccer Club called this venue home.

HV Jones Reserve

HV Jones Reserve is a sporting reserve in Ferntree Gully that is home to Boronia Soccer Club and during the alternate period Mountain Gate Cricket Club. Dendy Park - Brighton

Dendy Park is located in Brighton and for this images I am focusing on the section of the area that is used by Brighton Soccer Club. Parking when I visited was not too difficult on the day,

0012 - Fine Time

Hey all, lack of updates to this site and the facebook page is just an indication that I am taking a little time off from all this. During the season when the weather is not so great I dont mind at time doing the video editing and other updates but since the season is over and the weather is so much better I much rather do something else and enjoy the sunlight a bit. Sooner rather than later I will start doing more updates.

Jack Thomas Reserve 2019

A lot has changed over a period of less than a year as Jack Thomas Reserve has done away with the old pavilion and replaced it with a massive new set up that is just right for football. More change rooms, better social room, larger undercover area and just some of the new features of the pavilion. Also a digital scoreboard has been install as well. Another good feature is that the pavilion works just as well for the pitch behind it as it dose with the main.

Tuesday, 1 October 2019

Bunyip Recreation Reserve

Bunyip Recreation Reserve is located east of Melbourne, Victoria in the regional town of Bunyip, just a small distance off the main Princess Hwy. Anderson Park

Anderson Park is a venue located in Doncaster and is home to Doncaster Rovers. The area holds two pitches with the main one closest to the car park. A undercover seating area in front of the club rooms is one of the better pavilions at this level of football in Victoria. Most of the men's seniors match are hosted under-lights but the draw back that if it is played during the afternoon then most spectators will be looking into the sun. Plenty of car parking available.

0011 - Substance

Well, this is the first weekend off from covering any football for some time and it gives me a chance to give needed love to this blog site.

Now at the moment concentrating on updating the history section but in order to do that I had to change the colour scheme of the site as the dark version dose not work well when importing tables. After that I have a ton more venue images to sort out and upload. All sort of boring back end stuff but necessary.

Saturday, 28 September 2019

Harris Reserve

Harris Reserve in Warrnambool, Victoria is the main venue for the city and is approx 265 plus km from Melbourne. The has two pitches with the second pitch the main focus for these pictures. Parking bays are available at the pavilion and people will also park around the south side of the pitches.

Trip to Warnambool for Grand Final

Got hooked on a song by Holy Holy called Teach Me About Dying and that was one of a number of tracks I listen too on the long trip to Warnambool and back. So made a day of it and made the most of the limited time. Weather was not too bad, that was until the match got underway! With the rain as cold a ice pelting down I have never seen players leave the field so quickly at half time.

0009 - Going the Distance

Image result for warrnambool wolvesWow, looking forward to tomorrow as I head to Warrnambool to record the SWVFA Grand Final between Warrnambool Wolves and last years winners Corangamite Lions. Sure it is a bit drive but its more about making a day of it all than rather just recording a match. This was part of the idea of Football Chaos to begin with but life had a few things that pop up to make it difficult for a time but not this time.

Now Warrnambool Wolves is no stranger to Football Chaos as I got to record them once when they participated in the 2018 FFA Cup against Aspendale Stingrays. They did enter the 2019 edition but had drawn GSL club Monash Wolves and the drive there seemed made it difficult enough to get a full team that Warrnambool Wolves pulled out.

So while it appears it will rain I dont care, just going to head that way and do what I can.

0008 - Title Unknown

End of the regular season sometimes comes with the mixed emotions of needed a break but at the same time going to be missing it. Now after the amazing scenes last Saturday when Barnstoneworth United became perhaps the first time with a fictional club name from a TV show to win a FV State League I am now looking around to doing cup finals and the like.

This Saturday I will be heading to do two matches from the Victorian Churches FA as Knox Churches host their cup finals. Two times and current Premier League and Chaos Cup winners Mooroolbark Knights will be taking on the might of Berwick Churches in the main cup final.

On Sunday looking at perhaps the MCSA cup final. I have never been to one of that leagues matches so might be as good as any to introduce myself  as Clube takes on Carlton Azzurri. Now only downside rain is predicted for the day.

Well more tom work out in the coming weeks but yeah I also want to be able to enjoy some of the better weather that is coming up.

0007 - The Final Round!

Ok, choosing a last round match is sort of getting harder and harder. In Football Chaos first full year (2009, started in 2008) I actually ended up at a match between Ringwood City and St Kevins where Ringwood was attempting to win their first league championship after a horrid run of relegation's in perhaps the clubs darkest years. It wasn't a State League match. nor a Provisional League match but the then Metropolitan League (not the current Metro League) match. a division that sat below the Provisional Leagues. Why, because no one really cared where I went to back then and so I just picked something that I felt would have meant something.

Now many years later I am going to head to...

▶ Barnstoneworth United vs Keilor Wolves S.C.

This is a risky contest as one or the other team could win the league or Balmoral could grab the title if they defeat Maidstone added with Barnstoneworth dropping points. So why this one?

Well oddly enough it is because of the comments that I have read from Melton Phoenix FC and Ballarat Soccer Club in regards to how Barnstoneworth has conducted themselves in the first year of the state leagues. They have left a remarkable impression on clubs that is so sadly missing in community football.

It is a club that donated countless dollars to charities over the years as well. They have set and amazing example and one that I would feel privilege to record regardless of the result.

Hope this all make sense and apologies to other clubs for not making it too their big contest.

0006

Once again I forgot to post something on the page so here is a quick run down of latest events.

Three matches was recorded last weekend with the Doveton v Caulfield United Cobras selected after a ball draw done a the shops with my son Aiden. He is only six and has no care in the world where I go so it is as fair as it gets! Crazy match too that turned out to be.

Also recorded was Brighton vs Middle Park on Friday night from the State League 3 South East and on Saturday night North Caulfield vs Boroondara Carey Eagles that resulted in the Eagles winning the State League 2 South East championship.

A few new toys has been added to my arsenal of camera equipment with a new GoPro 7 Black and and the amazing to use DJI Osmo Pocket that is going to help with the start and ending footage being much more smoother etc. That set me back $1100 so any donations I have received just goes back into this project of love!!!

🎦 Videos are uploaded here... or the facebook page.

0005

What not much went to plan today with the wife's car stuck with a flat battery so all plans for a Sunday match was called off. So if everything is back to normal I look to head to Egan Lee Reserve on Monday night for a catch up round fixture from the State League 2 South East as Knox City host Monbulk Rangers.

In the meantime I am finishing up with the editing from the Waverley Wanderers v Glen Waverley match.

0004

Well after making a very late decision because of the heavy rain we have received over the past few days I eventually ended up at Waverley Wanderers vs Glen Waverley catch up match with the pitch all good to go.

Last time I visited Carlson Reserve was for the FFA Cup match between Waverley Wanderers and Lalor United that provided plenty of coverage for the Wanderers after winning that one 1-0. Still one of the highest watched video of the year.

Another option I considered was the VCFA Cup Semi Final between Berwick Untied and Whitehorse United as that was shifted to a synthetic pitch.

Now once again no plans set for Sunday so its wait and see.

0002

That was a busy weekend! Ok,now four games recorded and edited is more than I can handle at times but somehow got all the highlights edited and now up. The last match from the State League 1 South East I only decided when I inspected the venue as the pitch is surrounded and ridiculous high fence line that would put of many people to watch the match as spectators. Anyhow this is the list of matches now up on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/footballchaos

1. WSL1SE - Croydon City v Monbulk Rangers
2. VCFA - Whitehorse United v Bayswater Strikers
3. WLS3S - Caulfield Cobras v Beaumaris
4. SL1SE - Beaumaris v St Kilda.

0001

Well two games recorded with plenty of goals scored between them which sort of put me off from doing a Saturday night fixture. Plenty enough editing to sort out as it is. Now got my drone up which has been sort out of action with mixed results. The video is so bad because of a fault with the gimbal.

Anyhow what i did enjoy was the goals scored in the VCFA match between Whitehorse United and Bayswater Strikers. Some crackers for sure. Now back to editing and to sort out what match if any to head to tomorrow (Sunday)

04.08/2019 - TBA

Thursday, 1 August 2019

Oh yeah, I have a page to update.

Sorry to anyone that comes to this website / blog and find it never updated! Simple reason is that for the most part I have just concentrated on video highlights and since most people either view them on facebook or youtube their just little reason to re-post them here.

Now I will be working back on this page when the season dies off and start updating the venue section again with the many images I and The Man in the Stands have shot though out the season. Besides that perhaps fix up and update the history page for winners etc. Otherwise since it has little amount of people actually checking out this page no point in updating it otherwise.

2019 Women's Chaos Cup Results

Knox Churches v Croydon City from the final. Photo by Krystal Gray
Two cups, two winners over two days. Croydon City Arrows and Avondale FC both went home with the winners cup trophies after a brilliant weekend of women's football hosted by the great people at Pakenham United and sponsored by Unlock Real Estate and KonQa.

Thankyou so much for all involved, from the people at Pakenham United who must be exhausted from the weekend, to the clubs involved and especially the sponsors Unlock Real Estate and KonQa. Everyone involved has made these two cups so much more valuable.
